The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will implement overnight closures on northbound US-127 in Lansing starting Thursday, October 9, for the installation of a sign truss. The affected area is between Holt Road and I-96, with work scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Thursday and continue until 5 a.m. Friday, October 10.

During this period, the northbound US-127 ramp to eastbound I-96 will be closed. In addition, two 15-minute intermittent closures of northbound US-127 are planned between Holt Road and I-96 as part of the operation. Traffic control will be managed by the Michigan State Police.

"Motorists should expect delays," MDOT stated in its announcement.

According to MDOT, "This work will provide improved signs along the US-127 corridor. Closing lanes will provide a safe work zone for workers and motorists."

The project aims to enhance safety by updating signage in the corridor and ensuring that construction crews can operate in a secure environment.
