Northern Michigan University is set for a busy week in athletics from October 6 to October 12, featuring competitions across several sports.
The schedule opens on Monday, October 6, with both the men's and women's golf teams competing in the Flyer Fall Intercollegiate. The tournament continues into Tuesday, October 7.
On Thursday, October 9, the university's volleyball team will play an away match against Michigan Tech at 6 PM.
Friday’s events include a home men’s soccer game against Saginaw Valley at noon. The cross country team travels to compete in the Royals Challenge at 3:30 PM. Later that evening, the hockey team faces No. 16 Ohio State on the road at 6:30 PM.
Saturday brings more golf action as both teams participate in the Panther Invitational. Volleyball will travel to Purdue Northwest for a noon match. Hockey has another matchup against Ohio State at 5 PM. Football hosts Grand Valley State at 7 PM; this game also marks the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Northern Michigan's 1975 National Championship Team.
Sunday rounds out the week with continued participation in the Panther Invitational for both golf teams. Men’s soccer hosts Davenport at noon, followed by women’s soccer facing Michigan Tech at 3 PM.
