The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has granted Comcast a permit to conduct utility work on I-496 at Grand Avenue in Lansing. The work is scheduled for Sunday, October 19, beginning at 5 a.m. and expected to finish by 6 a.m.
According to MDOT, the project will require intermittent lane closures in both directions on I-496 at Grand Avenue during this time. The Michigan State Police will be responsible for traffic control. Motorists are advised to anticipate possible delays.
"Closing the lanes will ensure the safety of utility workers and motorists," MDOT stated.
The affected area is located in Ingham County, with Lansing being the closest community.
