As the deadline approaches, Michigan residents have only a few hours left to buy tickets for the $1.1 billion Powerball jackpot. The cash option for tonight’s drawing is $498.4 million.
Powerball tickets are available at retailers across Michigan until 9:45 p.m. tonight and can also be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com.
“If a Michigander wins tonight’s Powerball jackpot, it will set the record for the largest Lottery prize ever won in Michigan,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “The excitement surrounding this jackpot is taking over the state, and I hope to celebrate a new billionaire in Michigan after the drawing!”
A win would mark the largest Powerball jackpot claimed in more than a year and would rank as the fifth largest in Powerball history. This evening’s draw is the 40th since May 31, when a single ticket bought in California won $204.5 million.
Since June 2, players in Michigan have collected over $6 million in prizes during this jackpot run, including two separate $1 million prizes.
Michigan last saw a Powerball jackpot winner on January 1, 2024, when a lottery club from Mid-Michigan claimed an $842.4 million prize with a ticket purchased in Grand Blanc—the largest Powerball win recorded in the state.
Tickets cost $2 per play and are sold at licensed retailers and online through MichiganLottery.com. Players can add the “Power Play” feature for an extra dollar to multiply non-jackpot winnings by up to ten times, with a maximum of $2 million. The Double Play option gives another chance to win up to $10 million for an additional dollar per play.
Drawings occur at 10:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and can be viewed live online at http://www.powerball.com. Powerball tickets are available in 45 states as well as Washington D.C., U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
