Keino Hughes, a 42-year-old resident of Saginaw, has been sentenced to 151 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine. The sentencing was announced by U.S. Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon, Jr., and took place on August 14, 2025.

Gorgon made the announcement alongside James Deir, Special Agent in Charge of the Detroit Field Office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF).

U.S. District Court Judge Thomas L. Ludington delivered the sentence following Hughes’s guilty plea.

Court documents show that in July 2024, members of the Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (BAYANET), which included ATF Special Agents, executed a search warrant at Hughes’s Saginaw residence. Authorities found cocaine and cocaine base, two firearms, two digital scales, and more than $17,000 in cash at the scene.

The investigation involved both the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and the Michigan State Police Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team. Assistant United States Attorney William Orr prosecuted the case.
