A woman from Washtenaw County has won a $309,989 Fantasy 5 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery. The 54-year-old winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, matched the numbers 13-18-23-28-33 in the July 12 drawing. She purchased her ticket at Belleville Amoco on Belleville Road.

“Fantasy 5 is one of my favorite games to play,” she said. “I usually buy my tickets online, but I went out for breakfast that morning, so I stopped at a store to buy a ticket while I was out."

The player recounted how she typically does not check her tickets immediately after the draw but felt compelled to do so while watching TV. “I scanned it on the app thinking maybe it would be a $10 winner, so I was stunned when $309,989 came up on the scanner! This jackpot prize is such a blessing.”

She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim her prize and plans to use her winnings to pay bills and her daughter’s student loans, saving the remainder.

Fantasy 5 plays cost $1 each. Players can add EZmatch or Double Play options for an additional $1 per play for chances to win more prizes. Drawings occur daily at 7:29 p.m., with tickets available until 7:08 p.m.
