A Michigan resident has struck it rich, securing a $3 million prize after participating in the Mega Millions lottery. The fortunate player achieved this significant win by matching five white balls along with a 3X multiplier during Friday night's draw. The numbers drawn were 15, 37, 38, 56, and 58, and the successful ticket was purchased online through MichiganLottery.com.

Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli commented on the event, stating, "A Michigan Lottery player cashed in on the new Mega Millions game Friday night when they won a $3 million prize with a ticket bought at MichiganLottery.com." The winner is instructed to reach out to the Lottery's Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 to claim the prize, which must be done within a year from the draw date.

Mega Millions is accessible nationwide, with single plays priced at $5 including a multiplier feature that can increase prize amounts up to tenfold. The game is available in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Draws are organized every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Eastern Time in Atlanta, Georgia.
