MDOT schedules open house for US-127/I-496 project discussion

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced an open house event to discuss the US-127/I-496 project in Ingham County. The session is scheduled for February 18, 2025, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Foster Community Center in Lansing.

This meeting aims to provide information about the multi-year project, which will resume work on the southbound lanes in March. Completion is anticipated by fall 2027. MDOT staff will be available to answer questions from interested residents, commuters, community stakeholders, and local businesses.

The project is part of a $205 million investment focused on rebuilding US-127/I-496 from I-96 to I-496. It addresses safety concerns and aims to improve roadway geometrics and vehicular movement.
