The Northern Michigan University (NMU) alpine ski team is set to commence its 2025 season in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The team will participate in the USCSA Mt. La Crosse races scheduled for January 18 and 19. Last year, this event was canceled due to insufficient snow and unfavorable conditions.

Updates on the races can be found on nmuwildcats.com and through NMU Alpine's social media platforms throughout the weekend.

The team boasts a seasoned lineup with 11 seniors and eight juniors among its 27 members from both women's and men's teams. They were regional champions last year, finishing second and fourth at the USCSA National Championships.

Returning to the women's team are All-Americans Reagan Olli, Ainsley Kirk, and Ella Wichert. They are joined by Emily Creek and Tommie Springer, who competed alongside them at last year's nationals. Olli, Springer, and Kirk secured the top three positions at last season's regional championships.

For the men's team, two of their three All-Americans are back: Aaron Grzelak and Andrew Truman. They will compete with national championship participants Connor Abraham, Will Blackmer, and Reed Heathman. Grzelak and Heathman achieved the top two individual spots at last year's regional championships.
