Northern Michigan University's men's basketball team achieved a 70-58 victory over Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday at Vandament Arena. Redshirt junior Dylan Kuehl reached a significant milestone by surpassing 1,000 career points, becoming the 35th player in Northern Michigan history to do so. Kuehl's performance was notable, scoring a season-high 26 points with an efficient shooting percentage from both the field and free throw line.

Kuehl scored his milestone point with a baseline jumper early in the second half. He finished the game with two blocks, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Sam Privet also contributed significantly for the Wildcats with his first career double-double, scoring 11 points and securing 10 rebounds.

The game was competitive throughout, with Concordia holding a lead for over four minutes during the match. The first half saw both teams struggling to find their rhythm due to fouls and turnovers, resulting in a narrow halftime lead for Northern Michigan at 29-28.

Concordia briefly took control in the second half but was unable to maintain its advantage as Northern Michigan responded with strong defensive play and effective scoring down the stretch. The Wildcats held Concordia to limited shooting success in the final minutes while capitalizing on their opportunities at the free throw line.

Overall, Northern Michigan shot an even 50% from the field compared to Concordia's 45.1%. The Wildcats dominated key areas such as rebounding and second-chance points, which contributed to their win.

Northern Michigan will next face Purdue Northwest on December 5th as they begin GLIAC play.
