After a weekend break, the Wildcats are preparing to travel west to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for their only regular season game against the Augustana Vikings. The Wildcats, currently holding a record of 1-10-1 and two points in the standings, will face off against the Vikings who have a 6-6-0 record and ten points.

The games are scheduled for Friday at 8:07 p.m. ET and Saturday at 7:07 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the matches on Midco Sports Plus or listen to radio coverage on 100.3 The Point.

The Wildcats have six more games before their holiday break and participation in the Great Lakes Invitational. They aim to build on recent momentum after securing two crucial points from a shootout win against one of the nation's top teams.

Will Diamond was recognized as CCHA Rookie of the Week recently after scoring his first collegiate goal that led to overtime against the Mavericks.

This is only the second meeting between these teams for a weekend series. Last season, NMU hosted AU at Berry Events Center where the Vikings won both games, one in a shootout and another with a score of 5-3.

Augustana's team is led by Owen Bohn, Brett Meerman, and Payton Matsui, each contributing nine points this season. Freshman Joey DelGreco has been performing well with a five-game point streak. Goalie Josh Kotai ranks high among CCHA netminders with impressive statistics in save percentage and goals-against average. Defenseman Uula Ruikka was named CCHA Defender of the Week following his performance against Bemidji State.

The Vikings hold a home record of 2-2-0 with their last home series resulting in an overtime loss and a win over Bemidji State earlier this month.
