Michael Rogers recently featured Lillian Werbin, CEO of Elderly Instruments in Lansing, on the SBAM Weekly Podcast. The company, which specializes in selling and repairing stringed and fretted musical instruments, has been recognized as one of Michigan's 50 Companies to Watch. Elderly Instruments has expanded to a team of 40 employees and operates out of a 36,000-square-foot facility.

Werbin discussed the role of human interaction in business and how they strategically use AI to assist their staff. “We use AI a little bit, mostly to de-hassle our staff rather than replace them,” she explained. “I think in general, AI is best utilized with a human touch. So that’s kind of how we focused on using it.”

Werbin also remains active in community music programs and encourages customers to shop online at Elderly.com. She highlighted the dedication of the company's 40 employees.

The Small Business Association of Michigan’s weekly podcast provides insights from experts on entrepreneurial success. Listeners can subscribe via iTunes for new episodes every week or visit SBAM’s Media Hub for past episodes.
