Alyssa Nimz excelled defensively with ten rebounds.

All ten players from NMU who participated scored and collected rebounds, dominating with a total of 49 compared to Minnesota Crookston's 30. The game began strongly for NMU with Newcomer's early three-pointer setting an assertive tone.

Weisbrod continued her impressive performance in the second quarter by scoring three consecutive three-pointers, expanding NMU's lead significantly. Despite some resistance from Minnesota Crookston in the second half, "the Golden Eagles went on an extended 16-4 run," reducing NMU's lead to just one possession during part of the third quarter.
