Brooke Pietila has been recognized with a consecutive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Offensive Player of the Week award. This accolade follows her impressive performance in a 5-0 victory over Parkside, where she contributed one goal and two assists.
Pietila's game-winning goal was her second in succession, bringing her total to four for the season, which leads the GLIAC. She ranks second in the conference for total points with 25, total goals with nine, and goals per game, averaging just over half a goal per match.
Her recent achievement also marked her first multi-assist game this season. This ties her for first place in Northern Michigan University's program history for career multi-assist games. Additionally, Pietila stands second in the conference for total assists at seven and assists per game at 0.44.
During the match against Parkside, Pietila led all athletes with six shots and five shots on target while playing 67 minutes.
