The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) will continue its initiative to deliver nutritious food to Flint residents throughout August. This effort is in collaboration with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, which has been ongoing since February 2016.

August's mobile food pantry distribution will include a variety of produce such as sweet corn, summer squash, cabbage, lettuce, and cucumbers. The scheduled locations and dates for the distributions are as follows:

- Bethel United Methodist Church at 1309 N. Ballenger Hwy on Mondays: August 5, 12, 19, and 26 at 10 a.m.

- Asbury United Methodist Church at 1653 Davison Road on Tuesdays: August 6, 13, 20, and 27 at 10 a.m.

- Greater Holy Temple at 6702 N. Dort Hwy on Thursdays: August 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 at 10 a.m.

Residents can also access free nutritional food from three Flint Help Center locations. These centers operate during specific hours: Bethel United Methodist Church is open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Asbury United Methodist Church is open Tuesdays from the same hours, and Greater Holy Temple operates Thursdays from the same timeframe.

Additional information about future food distributions will be announced when available. For updates on schedules or further inquiries about the food distribution efforts in Flint, individuals can visit the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan website or call their contact number.
