Three wrestlers from Northern Michigan University's women's wrestling team are set to compete at the National Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The event will take place on March 8-9, with preliminaries starting at noon Eastern Time on Friday.

Zhivanna Magdaleno will compete in the 123 weight class, while Marisa Angelos and Alissa Caltagirone will both participate in the 143 weight class.

In their last competition at the Northwest Regional Qualifier, Marisa Angelos achieved second place in her class with a record of three wins and one loss. Alissa Caltagirone secured a true fourth place by winning her quarterfinal match. Zhivanna Magdaleno also finished second in her category after a semifinal victory. Their performances contributed to Northern Michigan's fourth-place team finish.

According to The Open Mat rankings, Angelos is currently ranked sixth and Caltagirone ninth in their weight class.
