Wildcats excel at PEIF pool meet against Michigan Tech Club

The Wildcats competed against the Michigan Tech Club at the PEIF pool in Marquette, Michigan. Alyssa Bloser emerged victorious in the annual Wildcat Skins Time Trial, finishing with a time of 25.12 seconds. Her teammate, Zoe DeKievit, followed closely with a time of 26.64 seconds.

In the 100-yard IM event, Bloser claimed first place with a time of 1:00.62, while DeKievit secured second place with a time of 1:00.72.

The team of Camilla Carbone, Zoe DeKievit, Merixell Font-Cantarero, and Becca Burrows won the 200-yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:47.06.

Anika Wright achieved another first-place finish in the 200-yard Freestyle event. Annika Geyer also performed well in both the 200-yard Butterfly and 500-yard Freestyle events.

Senior Merixell Font-Cantarero continued her successful streak by winning both the 50-yard Freestyle and the 100-yard Butterfly events.

The meet concluded with Mia Strazny, Becca Burrows, Olivia Haerr, and Alyssa Bloser leading their team to victory in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:38.96.

The Wildcats will now enter a two-week training period before participating in the GLIAC Championship pool in Holland from February 9-12.
