In a competitive match, the Wildcats triumphed over the Pride with a 3-1 victory, scoring three goals in the second half to secure the win.

The Pride initially took the lead by scoring in the 25th minute of the first half. Head coach Alex Fatovic commented on this early setback: "We were a little bit asleep, we were not aware of what was going on…We knew that once they were up a goal, we just had to essentially manage the second ball."

Starting the second half down 0-1, Tommaso Lami, William Uchenna, and Davian Gumbs each scored to turn the game around for the Wildcats. Captain Tommaso Lami reflected on their comeback: "We just believed that the ball was going to go in and that happened. This happened because of the defense, all the players on the bench, it was an amazing feeling. I don't have words to describe it."

Northern Michigan University had six different athletes record at least one point during today's match. Coach Fatovic praised his team's effort: "Really great effort, full team effort, and this sets us up nicely for a massive game on Sunday."

With this win, Northern remains undefeated at home with a record of 4-1-1 overall and 1-1 in GLIAC play. They will face Parkside on Sunday.

Tommaso Lami scored his second goal of the season. William Uchenna also netted his second goal of the season and his first career game-winning goal. Davian Gumbs added another goal for NMU. Jan Hoffman, Jaziel Sainz de Vilmorin, and Finn van den Berg provided assists.

Nils Cedergren allowed only one goal out of ten shots faced. Alessandro Scialanga, Finn van den Berg, Luca Rub, and Quint Van Roij played all 90 minutes. The Wildcats outshot Purdue Northwest 17-10 with nine shots on target compared to five from their opponents.

The match saw both teams actively seeking opportunities in a balanced first half until Rami Hassan Zantout scored for Purdue Northwest in the 25th minute. The first half ended with both teams having five shots on goal each.

In an aggressive start to the second half by NMU, Alessandro Scialanga hit the crossbar from a free kick followed by Max Rebori's volley hitting it again moments later.

Lami equalized in the 61st minute with a shot into the left corner. Shortly after, Uchenna scored following an assist from Jan Hoffman via Finn van den Berg's pass. Gumbs sealed NMU's victory with a third goal assisted by Jaziel Sainz de Vilmorin.

The Wildcats are set to face Parkside next Sunday at 2 p.m.
