Duffin has been a member of the MSP for 28 ½ years. She has served as a road trooper, conducting investigations, and a patrol trooper at the Erie, Wayland, and Monroe Posts. She has worked as an undercover narcotics officer in Washtenaw and Monroe counties. She has also served an assignment to criminal interdiction on the MSP Hometown Security Team. She served as the Monroe Post Community Service Trooper for seven years and is currently assigned to SEMTEC – Southeast Michigan Trafficking and Exploitation of Children task force.
Trooper Duffin’s true passion is combating the growing problem of human trafficking especially in Southeast Michigan. She is the chairperson of the Monroe County Anti Human Trafficking Coalition, she has been a member of the Adrian Human Trafficking Task Force, and has served on Senator Judy Emmons’ Human Trafficking Citizens Advisory Board.
Trooper Duffin works with survivors in Monroe as well as throughout Michigan and from several other states. She has been a facilitator at a human trafficking retreat for the past five years. Working with survivors is very rewarding and enlightening and something Trooper Duffin enjoys tremendously.
