City Council and Planning Commission joint workshop

City of Springfield recently issued the following announcement.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of an in-person workshop held by the City of Springfield City Council and Planning Commission on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. to review the proposed draft ordinances and amendments to allow recreational marihuana facilities within its municipal boundaries. This event will take place at the Springfield Department of Public Safety building located at 601 Avenue A, Springfield, Michigan 49037, adjacent to Springfield City Hall.

City officials in attendance may include the following:

Mayor: Harry BurdettCity Council Members: Amy Evans, Art Hollingsworth, Larry Eib, Christy Kincaid, Maxine Morgan, and Kimberly Way-Luong

Planning Commissioners: Chairman Brent Folkema, Harry Burdett, Marie Hall, Art Hollingsworth, Pamela Lasley, and John Navarro

Please note: City officials attending this workshop may vary, according to their availability.

All interested persons may attend the joint workshop and comment at the appropriate time to do so. Written comments may be submitted to the attention of the City Clerk or City Manager, at 601 Avenue A, Springfield, Michigan 49037. Alternatively, questions or comments can be responded to during regular business hours 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday thru Thursday by contacting City Manager/Zoning Administrator Vester Davis, Jr. at (269) 441-9271, or email: vdavis@springfieldmich.com.
