Marriage License Online

Marriage license 02

County of Calhoun issued the following announcement on Sept 2.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Calhoun County Clerk & Register of Deeds, Kimberly A. Hinkley, announces the ability to apply for a Marriage License online using the newly developed online application process. Since fall of 2020, Clerk Hinkley has worked on this project to give residents of Calhoun County enhanced access to services.

The process of obtaining a marriage license often takes 45 minutes to an hour in the Clerk's Office. By applying online, applicants can apply and pay for their marriage license in the comfort of their home, anytime day or night. They will then choose an appointment time to come into the Clerk's Office in Marshall to receive their license. This will reduce time spent in the office and improve efficiency.

Residents of Calhoun County who wish to apply online for their marriage license must be 18 years of age or older, have a Social Security Number, and NOT require a 3-day waiver. All applicants will need a current driver’s license or state ID and a copy of their birth certificate. Residents may still apply for their marriage license in person in our Marshall office at 315 W. Green Street. This service is also available to out-of-state applicants who plan on getting married in Calhoun County.
