The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate John P. Spica, the Committee to Elect John Spica for State Representation, paid $150 to Florida Yorkie Rescue Inc. on July 15.

According to quarterly campaign statements filed with Michigan’s Secretary of State, the following reason was given for the expenditure: 'donation to charity-dissolution'.

The committee has spent about $1,960 total since the beginning of the year, 7.7 percent of which has gone to Florida Yorkie Rescue Inc..
