Betty Jean Alexander's campaign pays $144 to Costco

The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Betty Jean Alexander, the Committee to Elect Betty Alexander, paid $144 to Costco on July 29.

According to quarterly campaign statements filed with Michigan’s Secretary of State, the following reason was given for the expenditure: 'donation to block party event'.

The committee has spent about $1,775 total since the beginning of the year, 8.1 percent of which has gone to Costco.
