Forge Industrial Staffing announced its sponsorship for the Ottawa County Deputy Sheriff’s Association's (OCDSA) charity basketball event. The aim of this event is to raise awareness and funding for drug prevention programs in local schools.

"Forge Industrial Staffing is honored to support the Ottawa County Deputy Sheriff’s Association in their continuous efforts to ensure a safer future for our youth. We believe in the power of community and the importance of coming together to support initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of our young people," said William Santiago, Forge's Regional Director of Operations, in a press release.

According to the same press release, the 8th annual charity basketball event will pit OCDSA members against players from the Detroit Lions. All proceeds from this match will be directed towards drug prevention programs in Ottawa schools.

In addition to sponsoring the event, Forge Industrial's staff will also attend the game to promote OCDSA's drug abuse prevention efforts within the community and distribute free merchandise. Attendees will receive a Drug Safety Handbook for educational purposes. The press release urges community members to attend the game and lend their support as part of a collective effort to sustain OCDSA's initiative. The game is scheduled for 7:00pm at Allendale High School Gymnasium on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

"We are immensely grateful for the support from Forge Industrial Staffing and other community members," said Denny Myers, a representative from OCDSA, in the press release. "It is through such partnerships that we can continue to make a positive impact and keep our schools and neighborhoods safe."
