This result is significant as it positions Wayne State among the top programs in its conference and may influence selection for upcoming NCAA regional tournaments. Wayne State’s combined team score was 935 (+71), tying them with Parkside for fourth place behind Grand Valley State (895), Ferris State (899), and Saginaw Valley State (917). The next event on the schedule is the NCAA Selection Show on Sunday, April 26. Wayne State was ranked fourteenth in the East Region in recent regional rankings released on April 10.

According to the official website, Wayne State Warriors Women’s Golf is affiliated with Wayne State University. The program participates in intercollegiate athletics at the NCAA Division II level within the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference according to its official website. The team operates out of Detroit, Michigan as reported by its official website.

Looking ahead, four regional tournaments will determine which teams advance to championship finals. Eighteen teams from each region along with six individuals not on those teams will compete. The top five teams from east and west regionals and top four from central and south regionals will move forward alongside two individuals per region not part of qualifying teams. At finals, all qualified participants will play three rounds before individual champions are named; then bracketed medal match play will decide final placements.
