Three members of the Northern Michigan University women's soccer team have received All-GLIAC honors, according to an announcement from the conference. Hannah Kastamo, Kenna Alexander, and Madison Bilbia were each recognized for their performances during the 2025 season.
Hannah Kastamo, a senior captain from Hartland, Michigan, was named to the All-GLIAC First Team as a defender. She has also been selected as the 2024 GLIAC Defender of the Year. Kastamo leads her team in goals with six, assists with four, total points at sixteen, and game-winning goals with three. She is second on the team in shots taken with forty-six and has started every match this season for Northern Michigan University. Her playing time ranks third highest on the team at 1,557 minutes. This year she matched her career bests in goals and game-winning goals despite playing three fewer games than last season and is one point shy of matching her single-season high for points. Over her collegiate career, Kastamo has accumulated several conference awards including Defensive Player of the Year, Fall Commissioner's Award, two First-Team selections, an All-Tournament team nod, and an Honorable Mention.
Senior captain Kenna Alexander earned Second Team honors as a midfielder. The Bloomington, Indiana native ended her senior year by scoring five goals in five consecutive matches—including two game-winners—matching Kastamo's goal total for the season and ranking second on the team in points with fourteen. Alexander started every match this year and played full matches seven times while only once logging less than seventy minutes. This season marks career highs across all major statistical categories for Alexander and is her first time receiving All-Conference recognition.
Junior Madison Bilbia received Honorable Mention status for her first All-Conference selection. From Kalamazoo, Michigan, Bilbia is second on her team in goals scored (three), third in assists (three), fourth in total points (nine), and leads both shots taken (fifty-five) and shots on goal (twenty-one). She started all nineteen games so far this season and surpassed her previous single-season record for minutes played despite having played six fewer games.
The Wildcats have advanced to the GLIAC Semifinals for a sixth straight year and are seeking their fourth consecutive appearance in the championship match. To do so they will need to defeat Grand Valley State University—the host institution—which secured multiple conference honors including Defensive Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coaching Staff of the Year along with ten All-Conference selections.
The semifinal match between Northern Michigan University and Grand Valley State is scheduled for Friday, November 14 at 1 p.m., taking place at GVSU Soccer Field.
