I-94 in St. Clair County to close for utility work on October 19

DTE Energy will carry out overhead utility work on Sunday, October 19, 2025, requiring a temporary closure of Interstate 94 in St. Clair County near Marysville. The closure will take place south of I-94 at Gratiot Road (Marysville) Exit 266, starting at 6 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m. the same day.

During this period, all I-94 traffic will be rerouted via a detour at Wadhams Road Exit 262 and Gratiot Road Exit 266. The designated detour route will use Wadhams Road and Gratiot Avenue.

The Michigan Department of Transportation stated, "Closing the interstate during this type of overhead utility work is necessary to keep motorists and workers safe."

This temporary closure is expected to impact traffic in the area for approximately twelve hours.
