The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will hold a public meeting on October 9, 2025, to discuss an upcoming infrastructure project on M-35 over Warner Creek in Marquette County. The meeting is scheduled from 6:30 to 7 p.m. at Richmond Township Hall in Palmer.

MDOT staff will provide a brief presentation about the planned construction and detour, followed by a question-and-answer session for residents, business owners, and other community members.

The project involves building a box culvert on M-35 north of Palmer with an estimated investment of $3.6 million. Construction is set for summer 2026 and will require traffic detours while work is underway. MDOT plans to expedite the process to minimize disruption.

Project updates will be available on MDOT's Mi Drive website and through social media channels.

For those needing assistance to participate in the meeting, MDOT advises contacting Orlando Curry at least five business days before the event.

"Attendees who require mobility, visual, hearing, written, or other assistance for effective participation should contact Orlando Curry at 517-241-7462 or CurryO@Michigan.gov, preferably at least five business days prior to the scheduled meeting. Forms are located on the Title VI webpage. Requests made after this timeframe will be evaluated and honored to the extent possible," according to MDOT.
