The Michigan Lottery has announced a partnership with the Detroit Lions to launch a series of Detroit Lions themed lottery games, coinciding with the start of the football season. The initiative aims to offer residents in Michigan multiple chances to win cash prizes through various formats available both in-person and online.
Beginning August 5, players can participate in several new games. These include a $5 instant ticket game featuring over $25.7 million in total prizes and top prizes of $500,000. Non-winning tickets for this game can be scanned using the Michigan Lottery mobile app to enter a second chance giveaway, where one finalist will win $100,000 during a live event at a Detroit Lions game. More information is available at MichiganLottery.com/Lions.
Additional offerings include a $1 Pull Tabs game with total prizes amounting to $2.4 million and top prizes of $8,000. There is also an online instant game starting at 20 cents per ticket, with potential winnings up to $300,000.
For non-profit organizations such as veterans’ and fraternal clubs, there is a charitable pull tabs option that features three top prizes of $300 per box sold. Each box sold allows these organizations to earn $360 for their causes.
A separate Fast Cash game was launched on August 3, offering players the opportunity to win between $10 and up to 100% of the Fast Cash jackpot.
“After a great season for the Detroit Lions and a sellout of the Lottery’s Detroit Lions Instant Game, I am excited to launch a full suite of Lions-themed tickets ahead of the 2025 season,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “These games give Michiganders a chance to win huge cash prizes while cheering for their home-state team and supporting public education in Michigan.”
The announcement comes after the Detroit Lions completed their 2024 regular season with a franchise-record 15 wins and secured the NFC North division title for the second consecutive year.
According to data from last year, Michigan Lottery players won more than $50 million from Detroit Lions themed games.
Retailers across Michigan will carry most of these new games, while charitable pull tabs are exclusive to qualified non-profit groups operating under bingo or large raffle licenses. The online instant game is accessible via MichiganLottery.com and through the official mobile app.
