The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has announced the preparation of a work plan for the fiscal year 2025/2026. The work plan outlines priorities for funding received from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant.

The administration of the work plan is under the jurisdiction of the MDHHS Division of Local Health Services. The outlined plan includes a clear identification of the state's preventive health programs priorities, detailing specific activities and objectives for the upcoming year.

A public meeting is scheduled for May 30, 2025. The aim of the meeting is to gather public input on the proposed work plan. This will be a virtual meeting held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am EST. Interested parties can join the meeting through Microsoft Teams using the provided meeting ID and passcode.

MDHHS encourages citizens to participate in the process by submitting their comments and suggestions on the proposed plan. Comments can be sent via email to the CDC Block Grant Coordinator, Laura de la Rambelje, or Janine Whitmire, an Operations Analyst, both from the Division of Local Health Services.

For additional assistance or information regarding the work plan, or to submit public comments, Laura de la Rambelje and Janine Whitmire can be contacted through their respective MDHHS emails.
