Monica Trevino, Director of the Center for Social Change, is set to moderate a panel discussion at the Michigan State of Reform Health Policy Conference on April 17, 2025. This conference brings together practitioners, thought leaders, and policymakers for discussions aimed at enhancing healthcare systems. It features panel discussions and keynote speeches that explore the current healthcare challenges and potential solutions regarding health access.

Trevino will lead the panel titled “Health-Related Social Needs: The Impact of the In-Lieu of Services Benefit & What it Means for Michigan’s Health Sector.” This discussion will assess the In Lieu of Services (ILOS) benefit being piloted in Michigan, which aims to meet Medicaid members’ health-related social needs. The program holds promise for improving the health of vulnerable populations in the state.
