The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has announced a grant funding opportunity aimed at providing weatherization services throughout the state. The initiative seeks to deliver energy conservation and health and safety services to low-income households at no cost.

The funding is open to community action agencies and public or nonprofit entities. MDHHS will distribute approximately $18.3 million over the program's first 12 months. The number of counties served and the number of awardees in each county will determine the distribution of funds. Population and temperature metrics will set maximum funding limits for each county. The department expects to issue up to 25 awards.

Interested agencies must register through the EGrAMS system and request an application by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 25. Applications must be submitted electronically by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30. The program period will run from July 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025.

For further details or to apply, interested parties can visit the EGrAMS website.
