Northern Michigan women's basketball team earns NCAA Tournament bid

The Northern Michigan women's basketball team has secured an at-large bid for the 2025 Division II NCAA Tournament. This marks the second consecutive year that the Wildcats have qualified for the tournament. Holding a record of 22-8, Northern Michigan will enter as the No. 3 seed in the Midwest Region. They are set to face No. 6 Hillsdale on Friday, March 14, at noon, with Grand Valley State hosting.

In other matchups within the region, No. 1 Grand Valley will compete against No. 8 Quincy, No. 2 Ashland will play against No. 7 Ferris State, and No. 4 Wayne State will face off with No. 5 Lewis.

Last season, Northern Michigan advanced to the Round of 32 by defeating Kentucky Wesleyan with a score of 69-56 before being defeated by Grand Valley with a score of 72-44.
