Defenseman Tynan Ewart and goaltender Ryan Ouellette have been named CCHA Players of the Week, as announced by the CCHA. Their recognition follows notable performances at the Great Lakes Invitational (GLI) holiday hockey tournament.

Ewart led conference defensemen in points, assists, and blocked shots last week for the Wildcats. Despite Northern Michigan's losses to No. 1 Michigan State and Michigan Tech, Ewart contributed significantly with two assists and eight blocked shots over both games. In their GLI opener against Michigan State, he recorded four blocks. Against Michigan Tech in the Third Place game, he added two assists and four more blocks as Northern Michigan forced overtime.

Ouellette achieved a .953 save percentage during the same period. He stopped 41 of 43 shots against top-ranked Michigan State in the GLI semifinals. After conceding two goals in the first period, Ouellette made 32 consecutive saves to keep his team competitive.
