Northern Michigan University's volleyball team is set to face Grand Valley State University in the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals. The match will be held on Saturday, November 23, at 2:30 p.m. in Big Rapids, Michigan, hosted by Ferris State University.
The Wildcats aim to reach the GLIAC Championship for the first time since 2021. They have faced the Lakers in the semifinals three times over the past five seasons. In their previous encounter this season, Northern fell to Grand Valley with a 3-0 loss.

Recently, NMU has been performing well, winning 12 of its last 13 sets. Jacqueline Smith and Meghan Meyer have been key players for Northern, both earning All-GLIAC honors along with Allie Barlow and Liesl Haugen.
Grand Valley enters the semifinals with a strong record of 26-2. The team is known for its defensive strength at the net and holds opponents to a .118 hitting percentage. Julia Blaney and Jordyn Gates were named to the All-GLIAC First Team for their performances this season.
The winner of this semifinal will advance to play against either Ferris State or Michigan Tech in the championship match scheduled for Sunday, November 24.
