Northern Michigan University's women's basketball team achieved a decisive victory over Bemidji State, winning 80-51 at Vandament Arena. Jacy Weisbrod was instrumental in the win, scoring 27 points on 11-20 shooting. The Wildcats now hold a 4-0 record this season.

The game started evenly with an 18-18 first quarter. However, NMU took control in the second quarter with a 21-10 run and dominated the final frame with an 18-2 scoreline. Alongside Weisbrod's performance, freshman Addison Pytleski contributed 13 points on efficient shooting, and Sarah Newcomer also added 13 points.

NMU outperformed BSU in several aspects of the game. The Wildcats shot 44.8% from the field compared to BSU's 30.2%. They controlled the rebounds with a margin of 47-30 and had a superior assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.4, recording only five turnovers against Bemidji's fourteen.

In addition to Weisbrod's strong showing, CJ Romero made significant contributions during key moments in the game, helping erase deficits with crucial shots.

Looking ahead, Northern Michigan will face Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State on November 23 and November 24 respectively.
