CCHA announces players of the week for November 1-2

The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced the Players of the Week for November 1-2, recognizing four student-athletes from different programs. Max Koskipirtti from Michigan Tech was named Forward of the Week. Dalton Norris from Bowling Green earned Defenseman of the Week honors. Alex Tracy from Minnesota State received his second Goaltender of the Week accolade this season, and Grayden Slipec from Northern Michigan was chosen as Rookie of the Week.

Max Koskipirtti, a sophomore at Michigan Tech, led all CCHA skaters with four points last week. He scored two goals and assisted on two more in helping his team to sweep rival Northern Michigan. "Posting a +2," he also had one power-play tally, seven shots on goal, and won 45% (18-of-40) face-offs.

Dalton Norris, a junior defenseman at Bowling Green, contributed three assists during a home sweep against Ferris State. His performance included six shots on goal and two blocked shots. His weekend was highlighted by achieving his first career three-point game on Saturday night.

Alex Tracy, a junior goaltender for Minnesota State, recorded CCHA-bests in goals-against average (1.01) and save percentage (.969). He helped his team split their games at Bemidji State with a total of 63 saves over the weekend. His highlight came with making a career-high 43 saves in a victory on Saturday night.

Grayden Slipec from Northern Michigan led all CCHA rookies with two goals and three points last week. The freshman recorded eight shots on goal and one block defensively. On Saturday night at Michigan Tech, he played a role in all three Wildcats’ goals with two power-play tallies and an assist.
