OhioGuidestone, a leader in community behavioral healthcare in Ohio, is hosting two quality of life programs at Tyler’s Redemption Place in Summit County. The events are made possible with support from the Sisler McFawn Foundation and do not require pre-registration. Dinner will be provided for attendees.
The workshops will be presented by Corey Fling, LPCC-S, and Nicole Piatek, MPH, CHES from OhioGuidestone. They aim to help Tri County residents explore eight wellness dimensions and learn strategies to enhance health and wellbeing.
Corey Fling will also lead a session on QPR training, which stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. This program trains individuals to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to refer someone for help. It aims to equip participants with skills similar to those taught in CPR or the Heimlich Maneuver.
Tyler’s Redemption Place is located at 2684 Sanitarium Road in Akron, Ohio. It serves as a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) supporting health and wellbeing in the Tri-County area.
OhioGuidestone focuses on providing comprehensive prevention services along with mental health and substance use treatment across Ohio through telehealth and various locations statewide. For more information about their services, visit ohioguidestone.org or call 1-844-622-5584.
