Brooke Pietila and Kenna Alexander have been recognized for their performances in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) by being named Players of the Week.
Pietila, a senior, celebrated her 90th career game with a standout performance on her senior day. She scored two goals and provided an assist in a decisive 5-0 victory against Purdue Northwest. Her contributions earned her the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week title. This achievement marked her second career multi-goal game and her second time achieving five or more points in a single game. Currently, Pietila is ranked second in the conference across several categories, including game-winning goals, goals per game, points per game, total points, and total goals.
Kenna Alexander received her first GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week award following two matches where she played a crucial role in maintaining clean sheets for the Wildcats. During these games, she also scored her first goal for the team and recorded an assist. As a junior defender, Alexander's efforts were instrumental in limiting opponents to only seven shot attempts over two games, with just one being on target—a season-low for both metrics for the Wildcats.
