Jenny Ryan emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive attitude for success. "It's important to have the positive attitude that we've had all season and have the best race you can on that day, and if we do that we'll be right in there," she stated.

In their last outing at the Bay College Invitational, NMU's team performed strongly with four runners finishing in the top nine. Brooke Lemos led with a fifth-place finish, followed closely by Lola Korpi in sixth place. Other notable performances included Ella DeBruyn securing eighth place and Samantha Zolnierek finishing ninth.

Reflecting on last year's GLIAC Championship performance, NMU finished fourth overall. Madi Szymanski was a standout performer, achieving an eighth-place individual finish which earned her First Team All-GLIAC honors. Her time of 21:38.0 was noteworthy as it marked her second-best career finish for a 6K race.
