On the second day of the Outdoor Track & Field GLIAC Championships in Allendale, Michigan, Teiolla Harvey and Crystal Walker secured podium finishes for their performances. Harvey excelled in the javelin event, surpassing her previous personal record with a throw of 38.07 meters. Meanwhile, Walker achieved a third-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.89 meters.
The Wildcats currently hold fifth place in the team standings with 23 points as they head into the final day of competition. The 10000m final was postponed due to weather conditions and is rescheduled for tomorrow morning.
In other events, Natasha Noakowski finished seventh in javelin with a throw of 33.67 meters and also placed seventh in the heptathlon with 3667 points. Eva Zonca followed closely behind Noakowski in eighth place with 3475 points, achieving her best result in the 800m event.
Alizabeth Little set a personal record in hammer throw by reaching a distance of 39.22 meters to secure an eighth-place finish.
In preliminary rounds, three Wildcats advanced to tomorrow's finals in the 1500m race: Madi Szymanski, Gianna Hoving, and Lamar Gordon. Additionally, Ellyse Wolfrath and Crystal Walker qualified for the finals in the 100m hurdles event.
Baux Truckey and Jahtivya Williams successfully qualified for both the 100m and 200m finals after strong performances during preliminaries. Hoving also earned another spot in an upcoming final by qualifying for the women's 800m race.
Natalie Pisoke and Ahna Larson will compete again after advancing to the finals in their respective categories within the women's division of track events such as hurdling competitions at distances around four hundred meters each time they participate tomorrow when all results become official via FloSports' streaming service or live updates available online today if desired before then too!
