The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has recognized 128 student-athletes from Division II with selections to the All-Region teams for 2024. Among them, Minnie Bittell from Northern Michigan has been named a first-team all-region attacker.
Bittell concluded her lacrosse career with an impressive final season, leading the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in all major offensive categories. She earned her fourth consecutive All-GLIAC First Team honor and ranked eighth nationally in total goals with 72 and shots with 157. Additionally, she was tenth in total points at 108 and shots per game at 8.35, eleventh in goals per game at 3.79, and fourteenth in points per game at 5.68.
"I've said this a lot, but I'm so proud of Minnie for everything that she accomplished this year," stated head coach Lindsey LeMay Majkrzak. "Her stats all season were stellar, was a top performer in the Midwest, and led our program to our highest regional ranking at no. 5. She deserves this recognition."
With this accolade, Bittell is now eligible for consideration as a national IWLCA All-American team member. The IWLCA plans to announce the Division II 2024 All-American teams on May 22.
