The Northern Michigan University men's soccer team concluded their season with a 3-0 defeat against the Davenport Panthers in the GLIAC playoff quarterfinals. The match took place in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

During the first half, NMU's Cian Tunney nearly scored, but officials ruled that the ball did not cross the line before being cleared by a Davenport defender. Despite this early setback, NMU was competitive throughout the first half, conceding only one goal.

In the second half, Davenport extended their lead with two quick goals within ten minutes. NMU pushed forward in search of goals but were unable to find a breakthrough against a resolute defense.

Following the match, Alex Fatovic commented on his team's performance: "Disappointing end to a disappointing season. We had a great game plan and started very well... I give our guys a ton of credit for how they never gave up in this game or all season."

Key statistics from the match included Jan Hoffmann leading NMU with three shots and goalkeeper Bryce Beckley making four saves. The Wildcats were outshot 15-13 and had fewer corner kicks compared to Davenport.

In the first half, Andrew Dykstra scored for Davenport after receiving a pass from Vitalis Takawira Jr. NMU had opportunities through set pieces but could not capitalize.

The second half saw further goals from Josh Cook and another from Dykstra, putting the game beyond reach for NMU despite late efforts from Hoffmann and Noah Johnson.
