The NMU women's golf team participated in the Flyer Fall Intercollegiate at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, finishing 8th out of 10 teams. The competition took place on course #2, known as the Ravines, where the average score was 84.17 across 54 rounds.
Head coach Ben Johnson commented on the performance, stating, "It was a hard fought day for both teams today. I was proud of our team's attitude and am looking forward to the GLIAC preview this coming weekend."
Hailey Bolander led NMU with a score of 82 (+10), placing her 35th individually. Maddy Martens had a strong second day with a total score of 81 (+9), securing 31st place. Abbie Pietila and Maggie Pietila both scored 86 (+14), tying for 38th place. Payton Dube finished in 47th with a score of 89 (+17). Gabriella Moreau ended in 53rd as an individual competitor.
The Wildcats are preparing for their next event at the Panther Invitational from October 12-13, which will be held on the course designated for the GLIAC Championships in Spring.
