The Northern Michigan University men's golf team is preparing for the Panther Invitational, set to take place from October 12-13 at Bedford Valley Golf Club in Battle Creek, Michigan. This event will be the team's final meet of the fall season and serves as a preview for the GLIAC Championship.

Previously at the Panther Invitational, Russel Sprecher made history by setting NMU's all-time 18-hole record with a bogey-free round of 62. The team also achieved their best-ever 18-hole score in program history, winning the event by an impressive 11 strokes.

The course at Bedford Valley Golf Club spans over 6,800 yards and features a par of 72. It presents golfers with a mix of strategic challenges and scenic views, including undulating fairways and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards.

Fans can follow live results from Bedford Valley GC online. Additionally, updates on the NMU men's golf team can be accessed through their social media platforms: Instagram (Nmu_Wildcat_Golf), X (NMU_WildcatGolf), and Facebook (Northern Michigan University Wildcats).

In their last outing at the Flyer Fall Intercollegiate held at Cog Hill GCC in Lemont, Illinois, NMU finished in 13th place. Walter Ylitalo led the team with rounds of +2 and +8, totaling 154 to secure a 19th-place finish individually. Teammates Tyler Annala and Levi Pennala followed closely behind.
