Midland nonfarm payroll employees increase by 0.3% since Jan.

The number of employees on nonfarm payrolls for Feb. in the Midland metropolitan statistical area was 34,700, a 0.3 percent increase over the previous month, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In Jan., Midland reported 34,600 workers on nonfarm payrolls.

Statistics were compiled from reports from the civilian labor force and unemployment data, which heavily relied on household surveys. The data is not seasonally adjusted.

Employment data is gleaned from an establishment survey that measures nonfarm employment, hours, and industry earnings. The data is also based on payroll jobs and such factors as where the establishments are located.

Overall, Michigan reported 4.057 million people employed on nonfarm payrolls in Feb..
