Muskegon nonfarm payroll employees decrease by 0.5% since Oct. 2020

The number of employees on nonfarm payrolls for Nov. 2020 in the Muskegon metropolitan statistical area was 57,100, a 0.5 percent decrease from the previous month, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In Oct. 2020, Muskegon reported 57,400 workers on nonfarm payrolls.

Statistics were compiled from reports from the civilian labor force and unemployment data, which heavily relied on household surveys. The data is not seasonally adjusted.

Employment data is gleaned from an establishment survey that measures nonfarm employment, hours, and industry earnings. The data is also based on payroll jobs and such factors as where the establishments are located.

Overall, Michigan reported 4.066 million people employed on nonfarm payrolls in Nov. 2020.
