The campaign committee of Republican Party candidate Curtis S. Vanderwall, Curt Vanderwall for State Senate, paid $4,400 to Sterling Corp. on June 12.

According to quarterly campaign statements filed with Michigan’s Secretary of State, the following reason was given for the expenditure: 'consulting (done in house)'.

The committee has spent about $34,963 total since the beginning of the year, 21.5 percent of which has gone to Sterling Corp..
