Southfield kicks off holiday season with Municipal Campus Tree Lighting Ceremony December 6

The city of Southfield will officially kickoff the holiday season with the annual Municipal Campus Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 6 from 5:30-8 p.m. on the front lawn of City Hall, 26000 Evergreen Road.

The festivities begin with a welcome by city officials, the arrival of Santa and the lighting ceremony at approximately 5:45 p.m. Following the ceremony, guests will be able to visit with Santa’s reindeer, enjoy ice carving demonstrations, watch the University High Dance Team and Impulse Dancers perform, holiday take home craft kits available for kids as well as cookies and hot chocolate. Santa Claus will also be visiting with children inside the Southfield Pavilion throughout the evening.
