Rep. Schriver recognizes Ty Bommarito for service in legislative office

State Representative Josh Schriver (R-Oxford) recognized Ty Bommarito on May 1 for his work as a front-desk staff member in Schriver’s office.

Schriver said that Bommarito contributed to the team by strengthening operations and improving service to constituents, all while managing a full schedule as a Michigan State University student studying philosophy, serving in the Army National Guard Reserves, and participating in MSU ROTC. Bommarito also served as president of MSU Turning Point USA, moved from secretary to president of Michigan College Republicans, and was active as a precinct delegate.

“His professionalism, strong work ethic, and commitment to public service have been a true asset to the office and to this chamber. Ty represents the best of the next generation of Michigan leaders,” Schriver said. He added that a tribute was prepared for Bommarito on the House floor and noted excitement about his new role at Turning Point Action: “We know he will continue to make us all proud.” Schriver concluded with thanks: “On behalf of the entire office, thank you, Ty, for your service. We wish you every success in the years ahead.”

Schriver has lived in Oxford with his wife Gabby and their son according to the official website. Schriver graduated from De La Salle Collegiate High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in 2015, and obtained a master of science degree in psychology according to the official website.
